We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and creative Activities Co-ordinator to join our team and help make a positive difference to the lives of our residents.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will play a vital role in creating a lively, engaging, and supportive environment where residents can enjoy meaningful experiences, maintain their interests, and build relationships.
You will plan and deliver a varied programme of activities tailored to residents’ individual preferences, abilities, and life stories. From arts and crafts, music, reminiscence, and games to celebrations, outings, and one-to-one engagement, you will help ensure every resident has opportunities to feel valued, included, and connected.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a programme of engaging activities for residents.
- Encourage participation while respecting individual choices and abilities.
- Provide meaningful one-to-one time and companionship.
- Support residents living with dementia through appropriate and stimulating activities.
- Organise events, entertainment, celebrations, and community links.
- Work closely with care and nursing teams to support residents’ wellbeing.
- Maintain activity records and contribute to residents’ care planning.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Caring, patient, and compassionate.
- Creative with a passion for helping others.
- Confident engaging with older people and building relationships.
- Organised and able to work independently.
- A positive team player who wants to make a difference every day.
- Previous experience in a care, community, hospitality, or activity-based role is desirable. Knowledge of dementia care and person-centred approaches would be an advantage, although full training and support can be provided.
