Location: Bagatelle Care Home, Greenock
Salary: £13.83 per hour
Hours: 36 hours per week

Bagatelle Care Home is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality care and support to older people in a warm, friendly, and professional environment.
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of our residents, supporting them with their daily living activities while ensuring their dignity, independence, and wellbeing are maintained at all times.
About the Role
Working as part of a supportive care team, you will:
Provide personal care and support with daily living activities, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
Support residents with their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
Assist residents during mealtimes and encourage independence where possible.
Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any concerns to nursing staff.
Support residents to participate in social activities, hobbies, and outings.
Maintain accurate records in accordance with care plans and organisational procedures.
Ensure residents’ rooms and communal areas are clean, safe, and welcoming.
Help create a positive and caring environment for residents, relatives, and visitors.
What We’re Looking For
Essential requirements:
SVQ Level 2 in Social Services and Healthcare (SCQF Level 6) or equivalent.
Minimum of one year’s experience working in a care environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
Successful PVG Scheme membership and satisfactory references.
