Hours: 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day 5/7 with occasional weekend work

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated  Supervisor Housekeeper to join our team and help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents.

As  Supervisor Housekeeper, you will lead and support our housekeeping/laundry team to deliver excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and service throughout the home. You will play an important role in creating a warm, homely atmosphere where residents feel respected, valued, and cared for.

About the role

You will be responsible for supervising the daily housekeeping/laundry operations, ensuring cleaning standards are consistently maintained, and supporting the team to provide a high-quality service. You will work closely with the Head of Care, Clinical Lead,  care staff, and other departments to promote a positive environment for residents, families, and colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, supervising, and supporting the housekeeping/laundry team.
  • Organising daily cleaning duties and monitoring standards.
  • Completing regular quality checks and housekeeping/laundry audits.
  • Ensuring infection prevention and control procedures are followed.
  • Managing cleaning supplies and equipment effectively.
  • Supporting staff training and development.
  • Promoting a safe, respectful, and resident-focused environment.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous housekeeping or domestic supervisory experience, ideally within a care home, healthcare, or hospitality environment.
  • Has strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Takes pride in maintaining high standards.
  • Has knowledge of cleaning procedures, infection control, and health and safety.
  • Is caring, reliable, and committed to supporting older people.
  • Works well as part of a team and can motivate others.
